Alewife Pond in Cedar Point County Park is a treasure. It's connected to Northwest Harbor by the meandering Alewive Brook. (Why is one spelled with an f and the other with a v? Nobody knows.) We will walk partway around the pond clockwise and then continue to the harbor on a trail that goes alongside the brook. We will pause at the harbor, then return the same way. The trail is mostly flat, wide and sandy. Lots of delicious water views.

Meet at the parking lot just inside the entrance to Cedar Point County Park, 5 Cedar Point Road, East Hampton.
