Whalebone Landing Loop/Grace Estate Preserve, East Hampton

Level: Moderate pace

Hike old woodlands cart paths dating back several hundred years to when Northwest Harbor was main port for the town.  We'll hike Whalebone Landing to the beach to enjoy scenic views of Barcelona Point, Mashomack Point, and Cedar Point.  Then, walk along beach to the remains of the 1860s Kirk's Place homestead. We'll return through birch and oak trees on a section of the regional Paumanok Path route. 

Meet at the metal gate entrance D to the Grace Estate Preserve, on the west side of Northwest Road, near Scoy Lane, and approximately 1/2 mile north of the Old Northwest Road/Northwest Road intersection.  Bring liquids and tick protection.
