We will make a counterclockwise loop around the eastern tip of the South Fork. Starting from the parking lot of the Montauk Point Lighthouse, we will walk west along the Oyster Pond Trail, taking a side trip on the Seal Haulout Trail to look for harbor seals below. (Early March is a good time to spot them.) After skirting the brackish Oyster Pond we will head south, cross Route 27, enter Camp Hero, and walk east back to the lighthouse along the spectacular bluffs. If the weather is OK, we'll finish by walking on the bed of giant rocks below the lighthouse.

Meet at 10 AM in the lower Lighthouse parking lot near the entrance on the left. Duration 2.5 hours, moderate pace. Bring snacks & liquids.
