Beginning as twilight wanes, we will follow the magnificent bluff overlooking the ocean to take in the nocturnal sights and sounds of this special stretch of Atlantic coastline. The rare "blue" moon will be the second full moon of May, betwixt Flower Moon (May 1) and Strawberry Moon (June 29). Our hike will culminate at a 360-degree viewpoint showcasing the sparkling sea and historic lighthouse and then return to the starting point. All are welcome to relish the riches of nature at night. Bring a flashlight or lamp if you like. Subject to cancellation if weather is inclement. Duration: App 1.5 hours, muddy patches possible.
Meet at 9:00pm Camp Hero Parking (Old Montauk Highway just past Coast Artillery Road).
