Hike - Paumanok Path Montauk’s Hither Woods

Level: moderate

Day 4 of our six-weekend series covering the entire Path in East Hampton, from west to east. We are offering 3 Hikes per day - 9:30 early long (10 miles), 10:30 late long (10 miles), and 11:30 short (4 miles). The East Hampton Trails Preservation Society is providing bus transportation for these hikes. Each hike is limited to 50 participants, and pre-registration is required. A suggested donation of $10 per person (each hike) is respectfully requested to defray the cost of bus transportation. Heavy rain may cause postponement to Sunday. To pre-register go to easthamptontrailspreservationsociety.org/events-1. DEADLINE for Pre-Registration is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1.

11:30 AM - PAUMANOK PATH - MONTAUK’S HITHER WOODS, ~ 2 - 4 MILES (short hike)This is an alternative shorter hike over part of today’s section of the Paumanok Path. Park on road shoulder of Navy Road, approx. 1/2 mile west of Long Island Railroad crossing. There will be NO bus transportation for this hike. Distance: ~2 to 4 miles; easy pace.
