In late 1940's Sag Harbor, the sisters Maude Terry and Amaza Lee Meredith had the vision, the foresight and the courage to pursue a dream. Upon purchasing land from the Gale family, Azurest was born, the first of the communities that make up SANS, the acronym for Sag Harbor Hills, Azurest, and Ninevah Beach. SANS Sag Harbor Organization President Renee Simons will tell us the extraordinary story, and the mission to gain the designation of SANS as a Historic District on Local, State and National levels. Meet 1 PM at the Sag Harbor Hills beach entrance by the large sign on Hillside Drive East and Ninevah Place, Sag Harbor.
